Hinoki
Hinoki is a species of cypress native to Japan. For centuries it has been praised for its precious qualities, used for its therapeutic aroma, and for the building of ancient Japanese temples and shrines.
The trees emit aromatic molecules called phytoncides, that help the body feel deep and natural relaxation. We have bottled Hinoki essential oils to offer the beauty of a true Japanese forest bathing experience, Shinrin-yoku, at home.
Quality rest
Spraying the pillow with the Hinoki aroma or spreading it around the room with the diffuser helps balance the nervous system and relax the body and mind for a good rest.
Hinoki has natural antibacterial and deodorant effects. It reduces the breeding of mites and mold, and it is a reliable insect repellent.
Carefully steam distilled essential oils
The fragrance of Hinoki is delicate and sophisticated, and feels like an immersion in the forest.
Our natural fragrances are made from hand-selected, sustainably sourced Hinoki in Okayama. Hinoki wood, branch and leave oils are distilled with purifying water in the small village of Shinjo, home to 800 people living in harmony with nature.
We use three types of Hinoki essential oils on our key fragrances: leaf, branch, and wood. We work with local villagers to handpick Hinoki leaves and create the finest forestry scent. Branch and wood are also carefully selected and steam distilled by pure water from the Shinjo Village.
